CBA is seeking an experienced MA Licensed riding instructor to join our team! Must be available weekends and weeknights. Seeking instructor for beginner and intermediate riders, children and adults. Please call Carol at 508-335-1080.

Canterberry Acres is a full service equestrian center in Spencer, Massachusetts. We are located just 20 minutes outside of Worcester. We are a full service boarding facility and lesson barn.

At Canterberry Acres you will find a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We cater to all disciplines and will work to make sure your horse is happy. Canterberry Acres is situated on 85 acres and compiled of both on property trails and open fields to add variety to ring work. A short walk along the road connects to the Mid State Trail. We offer full boarding in our 12 stall barn for inside/outside boarding as well as outside boarding options with individual paddocks that include an outside stall.

We offer a variety of exercise areas on the property that include an 60' x 120' indoor arena, two outdoor arenas, large round-pen, three fields, jump course, and trails on the property. We treat our sand-soft, indoor and use Mag Pellets to control dust, and provide a safe environment for both horse and rider. We also offer a heated tack room, and there is an outside wash stall depending on the season.

We offer lessons for beginners through advanced students. Lesson programs include private lessons, clinics, and horsemanship classes.

"Back to Basics"

Canterberry Acres offers two Back to Basics programs. These programs are open to children and adults of all ages and abilities, including emotional and physical disabilities.
Basic Farming Skills Animal Care and Horsemanship Lessons
Participants will learn about the ways of the farm and what it takes from start to finish to grow fresh produce. We have a wide variety of vegetables and berries. This will include soil preparation, planting, growing, harvesting and everything in between.
Participants will be able to learn the importance and responsibility of taking care some of the farms animals. This can include simply filling a water bucket, brushing a pony, collecting eggs from the chicken coop or just petting the goats. Basic to advanced, this program can go as far as the participant would like. Horseback riding and instruction is also an option.
  • All sessions are private in order to give each participant undivided attention.
  • Aid in the development of verbal, physical, emotional and motor skills
  • Run by experienced, state licensed riding instructors
  • Stable is licensed by the state
  • Carol is a speech and audio pathologist as well as a licensed riding instructor
